- Donnie Yen’s IP MAN heading to the UK
- Posted by Deljhp - 09/11/08 at 12:51 PM
Great news for UK fans of Donnie Yen, and all things Bruce Lee related. Showbox Media have just picked up the UK rights to IP Man, Yen's semi-biographical account of Yip Man, the first martial arts master to teach the Chinese martial art of Wing Chun to Bruce Lee. The pic marks the fourth collaboration between director Wilson Yip (Flash Point, SPL: Sha Po Lang) and Yen. No word yet if the movie will have a UK theatrical release, but the news does at least guarantee a good quality R2 DVD release some time soon. IP Man opens in Hong Kong in December.
