We’re heading smack bang into festival season, and the latest event to announce their line-up is Shriekfest a big (and growing) player in the horror world, and here’s the press release with some of the juicy details....

SHRIEKFEST INTERNATIONAL HORROR/SCI FI FILM FESTIVAL is thrilled to announce the full, expanded schedule for the TWELTH annual horror film festival, returning to Raleigh Studios Chaplin theatres, October 4-7th, 2012. Festival goers will once again enjoy the finest in independent cinema from around the globe, selected from submissions that came in everywhere from London to New York; from Utah to Denmark.

From our opening night screening of THE EMPLOYER, featuring Malcolm McDowell and Billy Zane, to the shorts from Australia, Denmark, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Mexico, and finally to the Shriekfest Premiere of Scooter Downey's IT'S IN THE BLOOD, starring Lance Henriksen! The 12th Annual Shriekfest Horror/SciFi Film Festival has worked hard to present a festival as diverse as the fans of the Los Angeles city itself. American independent films are also well represented this year, on Friday, October 5th – DEVOURED, as well as MIMESIS starring Sid Haig and Courtney Gaines and THE HOUSE WITH 100 EYES, both of which are screening on Saturday, October 6th. We can't leave out NAILBITER, REVENANT, FOUND IN TIME, MUIRHOUSE, and LAST KIND WORDS.

Not to leave out our fabulous selection of short films. Movies like THE FACE, REQUIEM POR UN (NO) MUERTO, SURVIVOR TYPE, NIGHT OF THE DEVIL, DISPATCH and the stunning CRYO challenge the viewers with provocative, well crafted original stories. Once again SHRIEKFEST Film Festival exceeds at challenging the idea of what a horror film festival should screen, with eclectic selections (FORTUNE FADED), to science fiction (A LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS), comedy (THE DUMP), and even the bizarre (STAY AT HOME DAD).

Entrance to SHRIEKFEST Film Festival 2012 is $10.00 per block, an All-Fest Pass, good for all four days of the festival, is now available on our website, for just $140.00, this pass includes the opening night party. All films are un-rated, and unless specifically noted no one under 17 will be admitted without a parent or guardian's accompaniment or permission.
