- Stephen Chow bails on THE GREEN HORNET?

*Update* According to "Aint it Cool News" Sony have confirmed via a press release, that Stephen Chow has indeed left the production. Looking at the positive, that now leaves him plenty of time to take up a new little known project.....Kung Fu Hustle 2!
Until we see something a little more official we are still classing this as rumour, but if it is true this pretty much marks the final nail in the coffin of any interest we might have had in Seth Rogen’s much troubled movie remake of The Green Hornet. Early in the project Stephen Chow pulled out of directing the film citing creative (yeah right) differences over the script, but said he was still very much attached to play martial arts sidekick “Kato.” Well that was then. Now reports are starting to circulate that a casting call has just been put out by the studio for someone to play the aforementioned character. If that is indeed the case, surely it can mean only one thing. Mr Chow has finally bailed….and would we blame him for jumping ship on this rapidly sinking Turkey? Hmmm no, not at all.
