Norway has brought us some fantastic scare flicks (‘Dead Snow,’ ‘Cold Prey’ and ‘Hidden’ to name but a few) and this latest addition to the flock - Dunderland - from director duo Finn-Erik Rognan & Nils J. Nesse’ has our interest well and truly piqued. Featuring a group of 20 something actors far from civilisation, stuck in a remote location infamous for stories of horrific of torture and Witchcraft, you don’t have to be a detective to work out this is not going to be an advert for the Norwegian tourist board.

A first eerie teaser poster (full size below) has just been released and we’ve all been promised a trailer is due soon. Plot summary time...

Synopsis: 1695. A young maiden by the name Johanne Nilsdotter is accused of witchcraft. Her persecutors end her life in the bottomless pits of the Djupkista waters in the Dunderland valley. In the years to follow, numerous horrendous events and tragedies strike the valley. 2011. The young, aspiring theatre director Laura arrives in the Dunderland valley. Together with an ensamble of Norway’s premier actors, she will put on a play at an old, abandoned Boy Scout camp. They are soon made aware of the Dunderland valleys dark and bloody history. Then the star actor disappears.
