Don’t know how the hell we missed this one, but then it doesn’t help that they changed its name, and it was released with more of a whimper….than a BANG. The Jet Li starring fantasy epic The Emperor and the White Snake has just dropped on UK DVD!? If old school wire-fu is your bag then don’t miss this.

Synopsis: Young physician Xu Xian (Raymond Lam) falls in love with a beautiful woman when she saves him from drowning, but unbeknownst to him she is in fact Madame White Snake, a thousand-year-old snake demon (Shengyi Huang) appearing in the guise of a woman. Sorceress Fa Hai (Jet Li), realising White Snake's true identity, vows to destroy her in a bid to protect Xu Xian and save his soul - but she has underestimated the power of White Snake's love for Xu Xian.
