What would you do if someone in your neighborhood had killed your child, but the police investigation couldn't figure out who did it? Well, if you're Yunjin Kim you'd do your own investigation. That's what's happening in the trailer for this South Korean serial killer thriller Neighbor, from first time director Kim Hwi that looks like it belongs right beside all the other great Korean thrillers of the last couple years.
"Lost" star Yunjin Kim is joined by veteran actors Ma Dong-seok, Kim Seong-gyoon, Im Ha-ryong and 12 year old actress Kim Sae-ron, who you'll remember as the little girl in The Man From Nowhere. The film, based on a webcomic of the same name, is slated to hit Korean cinemas on August 23rd.
Synopsis: Residents of a small apartment building learn that a serial killer lives within their building. A stepmother (Kim Yunjin) feels heavy guilt for not being able to prevent her stepdaughter's murder. The stepmother takes it upon herself to find the killer. Meanwhile, a young girl (Kim Sae-Ron) that resembles the murdered girl becomes the next target of the serial killer.
