• Tsui Hark announces DETECTIVE DEE prequel

Great news! Director Tsui Hark has announced plans to follow up his Golden Lion-nominated film 'Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame' with a prequel - to further explore the history of the legendary detective - and yes, you guessed it, it will be in 3D. Casting has yet to begin but as this sounds like its going be covering the early years of Dee’s career, its unlikely Andy Lau will be returning to reprise the main (always room for a small cameo part though?) role. A release date has yet to be announced, but with the amount of post production work the last one needed, we reckon it’s going to be early 2012 before we’ll get to see it.
