- UK trailer and site for DISTRICT 13: ULTIMATUM

After the huge success of Luc Besson’s Parkour/Freerunning action movie District 13, David Belle and Cyril Raffaelli returned for another dose of gangster mayhem in District 13: Ultimatum. Next to get to see it is the UK and the official site has just gone live. Is it as good as the first movie? Hmm nah.....probably not. Belle and Raffaelli are excellent as ever, but ignore a couple of glaring plot holes in a quite so-so script and you can still enjoy the ride. Ultimatum opens in theatres on October 2nd then heads to R2 DVD on October 26th. There’s still no word on a release U.S. So if you’re Stateside, want to see it and region free ready, this is a sure bet for a good quality English subbed DVD purchase.
Synopsis: 2013, three years after the events of the first movie, and it appears that despite government promises nothing has changed in District 13, the racially charged ghetto notorious for its gangs, drug dealers and killers. A consortium of corrupt cops and government officials is conspiring to cause civil unrest within D13 with a view to finding an excuse to raze the area and cash in on its redevelopment. When a local kid accidentally uncovers the plot, the district's resident idealist Leito (Belle) and elite law-enforcer Damien Tomaso (Raffaelli) are reunited in a bid to bring peace to the troubled neighbourhood and to expose the conspiracy before a proposed air-strike can destroy the area.
